Los documentos audiovisuales son importantes para el estudio de los siglos XX y XXI. Los archivos de televisión contribuyen a la formación del imaginario colectivo y forman parte del Patrimonio Audiovisual de la Humanidad. La preservación del archivo audiovisual de la RTVV es responsabilidad de los poderes públicos, según se expresa en la legislación vigente y un derecho de los ciudadanos y de los contribuyentes como herederos de este patrimonio que refleja su historia, su cultura y su lengua.

Abstract

The audiovisual documents are important for the study of the XX and XXI centuries. Television Archives contribute to form our collective memory and they are part of the audio-visual heritage of human kind. The responsability for the preservation of the audiovisual archive of RTVV lies on the shoulders of who head governing institutions as it stated by law; preservation that is also a right of the citizens and the taxpayers who are the inheritors of this legacy made by their history, their culture and their language.
